Thank You

thanksI just wanted to take a minute real quick and thank everyone who watched the video and listened to my song “Journey” in the last post. I know I say this a lot, but it truly does mean a lot to me. I never really thought I’d ever get to a point in my life where I’d feel comfortable enough to share my songs. I guess in my mind I equate my music with who I am as a person, so if someone doesn’t like my songs, I tend to take it personally, even though that’s just not the case. It just took me a really long time to finally separate myself from my music, so now that I have somewhat, I can share the songs without being afraid of someone not liking them. I’m not even sure if that make sense, but I hope it does.

And also, just a quick update of what is going on with some other songs– I’m writing a new song that should be finished within the next few weeks. If you’re good at naming songs, please let me know! I find it very difficult to name my songs even though I wrote them. Weird, I know. So if you want to help me name it please contact me  or leave a reply to this post. In the past I’ve asked a few close friends to listen to a new song first, to help come up with a name.

retro music for blogI also am putting together a video for the song “Invisible” that I wrote a while ago (you can listen to it by scrolling up and clicking on it in the music player on the right of the screen). Other than that, I have a few songs that will hopefully be going into some independent films. Click here to see more info on that. I hope all this doesn’t sound braggy because that’s not my intention at all. I just never thought I’d come so far with sharing my songs, and to me it’s just a big deal that I put the songs out there at all. I was always, always, the shy girl. Finally, at 37 years old 29 years old, I kind of got over it. Never thought that would happen.

Anyway, thanks again. I appreciate each and every one of you who are listening to my songs, and taking the time to comment. It really does encourage me to continue just doing what I’m doing. So, thank you!

In other things going on- last week the kids started school, so we are all still just getting into the new fall routine. Of course my kids tell me that school is “boring” but every once in a while they tell me something positive that actually happened during the day, so I’m hoping today will be one of those days!

Here are some pics from this past week.

They didn’t want to stand together so I could get a decent picture. This was the best I could do 🙂

I make him his own "homework" to do even though he's not in real school yet.

So, that’s basically it! Thanks again to all of you who are reading this blog and following my music projects 🙂
